2. Sea World

3. Burleigh Heads National Park
 

Burleigh Heads National Park is a protected area. Situated on a headland between Tallebudgera Creek and the Pacific Ocean, it is known for its beautiful beaches, rainforests, and wildlife. The park covers an area of approximately 220 hectares, and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including wallabies, echidnas, and a range of bird species.

4. Currumbin Rock Pools
 

Currumbin Rock Pools are a series of natural rock pools located in Currumbin on the southern end of the Gold Coast. 5. Glow Worm Caves
 

The Glow Worm caves were created to protect a local species of glow worms, Arachnocampa flava. Glow worms are actually fly larvae which glow in dark to attract and catch small insects. Glow worms are essential to the ecosystem of the Gold Coast as they help to control insect populations. The goal of the cave and the glow worm tours is to provide an interesting and valuable experience for families (locals and visitors) while benefiting wild glow worm populations.


Visiting the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves and going on the cave tour gives visitors the opportunity to see glow worms during the daytime. As a result of people visiting the Glow Worm Caves, worm numbers in the wild have begun increasing again.

6. Nerang National Park
 

Nerang National Park is a protected area located on the Gold Coast (80 kilometers south of Brisbane. The park covers an area of approximately 7,000 hectares and is home to a variety of native flora and fauna, including eucalypt forests, rainforests, and grasslands. It is a popular destination for bushwalking, picnicking, and birdwatching, with a network of walking tracks and picnic areas throughout the park. The park is also home to a number of threatened species, including the black-breasted button-quail, the eastern bristlebird, and the giant barred frog. The park is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.

7. Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens
 

The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens is a botanic garden located in Benowa, on the Gold Coast. The gardens cover an area of 51 hectares and feature a range of different garden styles, including formal gardens, rainforest gardens, and a cactus and succulent garden.
